Graffiato is a ready-mixed decorative plaster of high-quality acrylic resin carrying graded marble and granite aggregate. Trowelled on and then dragged with a steel float, the grains cut fine furrows across the surface, the scratched texture the finish takes its name from, from the Italian graffiato, meaning "scratched". It works as a hard-wearing decorative coating on building facades and interior surfaces: homes and industrial premises, lobbies, corridors, staircases and pillars. Applied with a steel trowel over Graffiato Primer, a day after the primer, or at least two hours after. Our 20-litre bucket of Graffiato typically weighs between 30 kg and 36 kg. Available in 45 shades, chosen at the counter rather than from the Zigma shade card. Not for horizontal surfaces exposed to rain, and not to be applied in glaring sun, strong wind, fog, high humidity or rain. Application of Graffiato: Graffiato is used for both interior and exterior wall decorations to provide a scratched, textured finish while creating a durable shield against weather.Coverage: One 20L bucket typically spreads between 5 to 10 square meters. This depends heavily on the aggregate stone size (tiny, medium, or large) and substrate roughness.Surface Preparation: The substrate must be clean, completely dry, and cured. Applying a ready-to-use skimming putty helps level the wall before coating.Application Method: Use a steel or plastic trowel to apply the material evenly onto the wall. While still fresh, a plastic float or specialized tool is used to move the pebbles inside the paint, cutting the signature "unpredictable" scratched patterns or lines into the surface.Drying Time: It is touch dry within a few hours but requires at least 18 to 24 hours to dry in depth, depending on ambient environmental humidity and temperature. Precautions for Graffiato: Avoid Over-Dilution: Graffiato is generally supplied ready to use. Avoid diluting it with too much water, as this thins the acrylic binders and prevents the quartz stones from sticking properly, leading to peeling.Check the Smell: High-quality Graffiato should have a mild, standard paint smell. A highly pungent or foul odor indicates the water-dispersion polymers have gone bad or expired.Protect Neighboring Fixtures: Use high-quality masking tape around door frames, windows, and flooring. Because Graffiato dries incredibly hard and contains stones, it is very difficult to scrape off surfaces once it cures.Avoid Extreme Weather: Do not apply Graffiato during active rainfall or in direct, blistering midday sunlight, as quick surface drying can cause hairline cracks before the coat fully cures.Uniform Batch Application: Ensure you estimate your bucket count accurately based on your building's square footage before starting. Mixing different production batches on the same wall face can sometimes cause slight, visible color variations. Are you planning to apply this on an interior or exterior wall, and do you already know the square meter size of the building? our team can help you calculate exactly how many buckets you will need for the project.

That is 140 L, a little over the 121.52 L calculated, which leaves enough for touching up.
An estimate. Porous, textured or previously unpainted surfaces drink more paint; allow around 15% extra on bare plaster.
